Royal Omania Tours and Travels is founded and managed by Rev. Sleeba Kattumangattu, Cor-Episcopa an ordained Christian Priest belonging to the Syrian Orthodox church. His association with Oman and other gulf countries where he had served as Vicar in the Syrian orthodox churches, influenced him to name the establishment as Omania Tour and Travels Pvt Ltd. The first office started functioning in the town of Mulanthuruthy, a suburb of Cochin from where Rev Sleeba hails, in the year 1994.

Initially the main function of the company was organizing and conducting Holy Land Tours to Israel and other Middle East countries. The well planned and executed conducted tours to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and other holy places in the middle east was very much enjoyed and appreciated by the participants and the reputation of Royal Omania Tours & Travels; conveyed by the tour participants, spread all over Kerala and other parts of India like Karnataka, Bengal and Maharashtra among people who have family roots in Kerala. Now a regular feature of the tours is the participation of people from all over India. The company has so far conducted above 1200 group tours to Israel and other Holy places. The company's Holy land tours was widely appreciated for incorporating all places of importance, and making available ample time to absorb in the beauty and specialty of the spots. All this, was made possible without extending the duration of the tour and increasing the tour fee!

With the steady increase in the clientele and the demand for various other travel based servicing like obtaining passports, endorsing visa of various countries and making air bookings and issue of tickets, it was decided to open a full fledged travel agency at Cochin the commercial capital of Kerala.
